Soooo... this is another 'Hangouts and Hangovers' blog post, however, there's no hangover with this one...

I was a sophisticated lady and didn't get so horribly drunk that I vommed on the train home... That's a story for another time..

So without the hangover, I've got some more hangout inspo for all you girls out there who love going to London...


My dear friend Christina is always making me jealous with all the cool and luxurious places she visits in London.. So I made her take me!

We visited the oh so fabulous Selfridges, not that I can afford anything inside it, but I can afford a cup of tea!

It is mega Christmasy this time of the year, with a whole floor dedicated to Christmas gifting. I was super close to buying a personalised Christmas stocking, but at £30 a pop, with myself, my boyfriend and our cat to buy for I decided to opt for the DIY option...


First of all; we went to the Forest on the Roof, which was lovely and festive, but super cold!
So it's a good job they've got some blankets up there!
Perfect for any time of the year, with its theme changing seasonally, you can snuggle up with warm blankets, mulled wine and some delicious cheese fondue (pictured above) what more could a girl want?
5 out of 5 star rating, I would make sure you wear a warm coat if you visit in the Winter though!


Next stop Aubaine

A much needed warm up inside with a hot bev after sitting on a rooftop in the middle of Winter...

It was hot chocolate heaven, with fancy French desserts to go with it.

Another great stop especially if you've had a long day shopping!

Aubaine and the rooftop are perfect for a treat yourself or a treat your mum day out, not too pricey, great food and great service. I would book a table if you can to avoid disappointment as both places were super busy!



Selfridges is great for you girls who spend your day shopping, starting from Tottenham Court Road and ending at Marble Arch, it's just before Primark, which you definitely need some caffeine before you take that challenge on..

Having recently bagged myself a new job, it was time to celebrate!

So off I headed to London for a weekend of celebrations... including, food, wine, more food and more wine...



I headed down on the Friday, in the day I did a photoshoot with the lovely Diana  for her blog. It was 27 degrees so London was lovely, hot, and very sticky.

After nailing our shoot we grabbed a bev and I headed over to Jo's, where the fun began.

We cracked open the Prosecco and got ready for 9pm as we were heading out for dinner at Bodo Schloss.





Safe to say the food was AMAZING - Chicken Snitzle - my fave, the most amazing potato salad, and soooooo much winnneeeee.

We ended up staying there till 2am.. totes was not the plan... we met the stunt double for the women knight from Games of Thrones... Cool! It was supposed to be a sophisticated dinner.. yep that didn't happen..

So on Saturday, we died a bit... and then we went to get pizza.. but not any old pizza.. only a 20" pizza would cure this hangover.. so crawled to HomeSlice.







SO yeh... that was great.. as you can see.. that's one epic pizza...

After stuffing our faces, we then met up with Holly and headed to Clapham Common to go to the best Ice Cream place EVER.. did I mention we ate a lot this weekend....

Known as the best Ice Cream in London... Nardulli's  is the place to be! The common is lush on a hot day, and literally doesn't feel like you're in London.. it's amazing.. 





Definitely shouldn't have gone for two scoops, my stomach felt like it was about to explode...

So after sunbathing, and Ice Cream, we went home to get ready for Drama that night..

I mean, I was hanging bad already, but pretending that I'm not a total grandma I powered through...

We got there, got a table and a bottle of Belvedere to ourselves, and our night was SORTED
I mean the club wasn't amazing... it's basically a re-vamped Whisky Mist.. but with the Love Island Girls there, our own table and bottle, we felt like we were ball'in so we didn't care!

Daytime

Saturday involved shooting with Lucy in the morning, then a sunny alcoholic picnic in Hyde Park for lunch. After getting a bit tipsy, me and Jo headed to get our makeup done at Bobbie Brown in Selfridges.

Super excited for our makeup experience - which is by the way absolutely free - Amazing! We headed to Selfridges with a quick bit of shopping on the way.

Jo got her eyes done and I went for the radiant beauty.... Well it all started off well with us taking off our makeup and answering a series of questions about what look we wanted. Jo said she wanted a light subtle eye to open up her eyes and make them look bigger, and I just wanted a glam look for the evening.. 
 Jo wouldn't remove her sunnies.... 

Night time - Cirque Le Soir 

After re-doing our makeup, we headed out to Cirque Le Soir. It's been shut for about 5 months after a fire broke out in December.. Safe to say we were really excited to see what it was like! 


We had an amazing night.. great music, crazy acts and fire eaters, too much alcohol and so much dancing I ripped my skirt...FML.

It made it's come back in style, with completely refurbished interiors and a new layout, there was a bouncy castle, new acts.. a dwarf in bondage hanging from the celling.. yep that happened.. and of course some amazing burlesque performers. 

We were thankful for queue jump as the queue went all the way to the end of the street! With Cirque being such a favourite for many people this was kind of inevitable. 

Overall a tip top night.. equaling in me being ridiculously hungover on Sunday with one very sad looking skirt... 

So being the avid party girl I was back at university when I was studying at London College of Fashion, I think it's now time for me to pass the torch onto a younger generation.. Not that I don't go out anymore! Just not 3/4 times a week..cry me a river.. yes I'm only 22 and I'm a complete grandma settling down with my house and hubby.. but ya know whatever makes you happy! Plus I still reminis on my university days and go visit my old haunts!

So first things first girls, London nightlife.. Theres the expensive side and the even more expensive side.. and you know what.. it will surprise you it's actually cheaper to go out in Mayfair! Play your cards right and you can wangle free entry and free drinks like I used to do.. combined with a night bus home, the night cost a total of £3.70 WIN

East London is cool, but when you have to buy some expensive hipster drinks and pay to get in.. and you end up going to more than one place.. it end's up being an expensive night! Plus I'm a Mayfair girl through and through!

So top tips!
1. Always wear heels - even if they're just heeled boots - otherwise you won't get in.. (this only apply's to Mayfair)

2.Black is always the preferred colour, no Jane Norman.. Yes I have seen a girl in a Jane Norman classic turquoise dress... and no socks and open toed heels.. I can promise you this is not fashionable

3.Make sure you're in good company.. there's nothing more embarrassing then a friend wiping out on the table with a bottle of Vodka worth £250..

Nightclubs to head to:

1. For a crazy night out, with mad performers, and amazing interiors - Cirque Le Soir is your place (Door girl is strict so make sure you look hot and are on a guest list)


2. Bodos - chilled out, the parties already started by the time you get there at 11.00pm and music is insane - 90's hip hop mixed with current pop springs to mind

3. Mahiki - everyone knows what this place is.. I don't need to explain - plus it has the most amazing food!

4. The Box - this is not for the faint hearted.. you will feel a bit ill watching some of the performances - but for a tip top insane night that you will probably end up crawling out of the club into a taxi (a personal experience) this is the club for you!


5. This is tie between Libertine and Project - there the classic nightclub with crazy lights and great music - always a good night out
